5 Sept 2023:-

Every year, we did the celebration of Teacher’s day on 5th September in India to recognise the enthusiasm and dedication of teachers in nation building.

This special day is dedicated to the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was a philosopher, scholar, teacher and politician. He was also the second President of India.

His dedication towards the profession and education made his birthday an important day in the history of India.

Who is a teacher? The answer is very simple- a human being with flash and blood like other humans.

But we can observe a big differential attitude to look after a teacher by the society from his/her personal to professional life. Many people expect from the teachers to perform many extra ordinary duties like God. Teachers are judged from the way of talking style upto their dress up. But the society forgets that teachers are also human beings but not any extra ordinary creatures from other planets.

It is not possible for any any humans to be perfect always and teachers are not beyond exception. It is natural that teaches will do mistakes.

What we can expect from a teacher? The society is definitely expecting many things from a teacher. It is natural because a teacher is a symbol of nation building. Yes, it is true a teacher is responsible to perform many duties at school, college and university level for the students.

It is the duty of the teacher not only to create intellectuals but also good human beings and responsible citizens. Our society must expect from the teachers to perform their duties honestly and with full dedication.

But we can not except complete perfection from a teacher, who is a human being. A human being can not be a overall perfectionist.

When celebration of Teacher’s day will be successful? The celebration of Teacher’s day should not be made not be done to mark show off respect to the teachers.

Celebration will be meaningful when all of us can be able to understand the life of a teacher. The meaning of Teachers day will be real when we encourage teachers positively to perform their duties and responsibilities without judging them from every aspect of their lives.

Our duty is to encourage the teaching professionals to build the students as valuable assets of this nation.

“Teaching is a very noble profession that shapes the character, caliber and future of an individual.

If the people remember me as a good teacher that will be the biggest honour for me”- Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam .
