থলুৱা FOOD FESTIVAL

Assam,  December 14:   Apart from its natural beauty, Pobitora has many other things to offer. As the name suggests, ‘Tholuwa’, which means local in Assamese , The Tholuwa Food Festival in Pobitora Village Eco Camp is showcasing some local food in their stalls. The Tholuwa Food Festival has been going on from December 11 onwards. The stalls consists of duck eggs, home grown fresh vegetables and home made pithas and pickles. The main motive of the fair is to provide a platform to the villagers to promote their local products. The owner of the Eco Camp , Champak Deka has charged no fees from the villagers and urged the people to help the local villagers in whatever way they can. The Eco Camp is situated in a beautiful place and one can spend the whole day there. It also has a accommodation for people coming from far places.
