Massive fire at Shillong

Shillong, January 15 :  A massive fire broke out at a local market near Shani Mandir on GS Road, opposite Police Bazaar, in the heart of Shillong, Meghalaya, early on Thursday. At least 35 canisters of water and eight fire tenders were rushed to douse the fire, which started shortly after midnight and lasted until 6:30 am on Thursday.While no casualties have been reported, authorities are still assessing the damage caused.
