India, February 1 : Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the digital Union Budget 2021-22 on Monday.While presenting the Budget, Union finance minister Sitharaman said the total budget outlay for healthcare is 2.23 lakh crore and this is an increase of 137% from the last year.
The finance minister announced Rs 35,000 crore for Covid19 vaccines.Stating that the Covid-19 vaccines will be rolled out across the country, she said, “This will prevent over 50,000 child deaths annually.

She said a bill will be set up for a developmental financial institution at a cost of Rs 20,000 crore.
Sitharaman said 217 projects worth over Rs 1 lakh crore have been completed under the National Infrastructure Pipeline.
The finance minister has proposed Rs 2,217 crore outlay for 42 urban centers to tackle air pollution.
In order to boost the health sector of the country, Sitharaman said the health outlay will be used to establish critical care units and hospital blocks.She announced outlay of Rs 2.87 lakh crore for the Jal Jeevan Mission. She said Rs 64,180 crore will be invested over 6 years to improve primary, secondary and tertiary healthcare. This is in addition to the National Health Mission, she said.

The finance minister announced that the total financial impact of all Aatmanirbhar Bharat packages, including measures taken by RBI, was about Rs27.1 lakh crore, which is more than 13% of the GDP.

She said Atmanirbhar is an expression of 130 crore Indians who have full confidence in their capabilities and skill.
