Ali-Aye-Ligang, the traditional festival of the Mising people, has been declared a government holiday in 10 districts.
Attending a mass-rally as the chief guest at the premises of Murkongselek Mising Krishti Bhawan of No. 80 Jonai Assembly constituency, Minister Pijush Hazarika declared a government holiday on the day of Ali-Aye-Ligang, the traditional festival of the Mising people in 10 Mising-dominated districts of the state.
The event was attended by MP of Lakhimpur Pradan Barua, Chief Executive Member of Mising Autonomous Council Paramananda Chayengia, MLA Bhuban Pegu, Executive Members of Mising Autonomous Council Naresh Kumbang, Malendra Narzary, Johan Doley, TMPK Advisor Rajkumar Morang, Members of Bharatiya Janata Party, leaders of various party & organisations and locals.

Implementation of cultural programmes in different parts of Assam in accordance with the Cultural Campaign titled ‘Boarder Area & Bharat Ko Janoo’ under the initiative of North East Zone Cultural Centre, Dimapur under the Government of India.
As part of the said programme, Parmananda Chayengia, Chief Executive Member of MAC, attended the event at Gogamukh
as a chief guest.
It is to be noted that traditional dances of Assamese, Bodo, Mishing,Naga and Adi people and traditional dances from states of Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Bihar were performed in the programme.
Mr. Oliver, Director, NEZCC, leads the cultural groups.

Gram Sabha of No. 17 Mingmang Council Constituency of Mising Autonomous Council.
The meeting was presided over by Regional President of MMK Mingmang, Janata Lagachu.
In the meeting, Chief Executive Member of The Mising Autonomous Council Paramananda Chayengia gave suggestions to the gathering regarding the selection of schemes for the five-year plan in addition to the financial year 2024-’25.

Chief Executive Member of Mising Autonomous Council Parmananda Chayengia visited the under-construction primary school building at Chutiapara Bodo village under Okhomati Panchayat of No. 17 Mingmang Constituency of Mising Autonomous Council.
The CEM also took stock of the problems faced by the people of Moamari village.

The Chief Executive Member of the Mising Autonomous Council, Parmananda Chyayengia participated in a special meeting with the Dulung-Subansiri Forest Conservation Society and the Celebration Committee regarding the preparations for the ‘Dulung Subansiri Festival’ to be held under the initiative of Mising Autonomous Council on 22nd, 23rd, 24th December 2023 in association with the Dulung-Subansiri Forest Conservation Society.

Nilakanta Doley, general member of Upper Majuli Council Constituency of Mising Autonomous Council, launched various schemes of Mising Autonomous Council for the year 2023-24 at Cherepai Gram Panchayat.
The schemes are –
1)Construction of Boundary Wall at Kumarbar ME School -Amount 10 Lakh
2) Construction of Boundary at 2 No Ujani Cherepai L P School – Amount 8 Lakh
3)Construction of RCC Culvert at Namoni Cherep Karmi Jan Amount 8 Lakh
4)Construction of Murong Ghar at Manbalchuk Amount 8 Lakhs
Premdhar Daloley , Vice President, MMK Central Committee, Jagannath Doley, Retired Headmaster of Kumarbari ME School, Yadav Patir, Retired Teacher, Teacher Bhabendranath Doley and Dimpu Doley and leaders of various organisations and local people were present at the inaugural function.

Panchayat based Gram Sabhas under the initiative of Mising Autonomous Council.
In connection with the adoption of various development schemes of the Mising Autonomous Council, livelihood and selection of various beneficiaries, a gram sabha was held at the gram panchayat under No. 2 Murkongselek constituency.
The meeting was presided over by Putul Pegu.
The meeting was attended by Executive Member of The Mising Autonomous Council Naresh Kumbang, TMPK Advisor Rajkumar Morang, Jonai Gram Panchayat President Jayanta Bori, Organizing Secretary of Samyukta Shamik Shakti Biswa Bora, Gram Pradhan Yudwenath Payeng, leaders of various party & organisations as well as local people.
On the other hand, the second Gram Sabha was held at Bahir Jonai Luhijan Gram Panchayat under No. 2 Murkongselek constituency.
The meeting was presided over by Dinanath Pegu, the gram pradhan of Mahmara village.
The meeting was attended by Executive Member of The Mising Autonomous Council Naresh Kumbang, Village Panchayat President Jinita Kumbang, Headmaster of Pragati Higher Secondary School Padma Pegu, leaders of various party& organisations as well as local people.

Trilokya Pamegam, general member of Majuli Jakaiboa constituency of Mising Autonomous Council, inaugurated the Murang Akum, built with the funds allocated for the year 2023-24 of the Mising Autonomous Council.
TMPK Majuli District Education Secretary Uttam Narah, Vice President Liard Regan, leaders and members of various party& organisations and local people were present at the occasion.

Nilkanta doley, general member of the Upper Majuli Council constituency, inaugurated ‘Murang Okum’ built with funds of Mising Autonomous Council for the year 2022-23, at Upper Ratanpur Miri village under No. 30 Sanga Majuli constituency.
The event was attneded by Prof. Aiyao Pegu of Upper Majuli Kherkatia College, Retired Headmaster Devananda Doley,
Premdhar Doley, Vice President, MMK Central Committee,
Ratanpur Miri panchayat president Manjilika Doley pegu, panchayat vice-president Jon Doley, leaders of various party & organisations as well as local people.

The second Gram Sabha of Upper Majuli Council Constituency was held at ‘Murang Ghar’ in Moamari.
The meeting was presided over by Bholanath Mili, president of Luitparia Shakha Shakti of Sanmilit Ganashakti Assam.
In that meeting, local General Member Nilakanta Doley reviewed the schemes implemented by the Mising Autonomous Council in the last year.
The meeting was attended by Bhaskar Pegu, Vice President of Shramik Shakti Central , Headmaster of Lachan Chapori LP School, Tutu Panging, President of TMPK Majuli District, Samayukta Ganashakti Assam Upper Majuli Khanda Shakti President Chappal Doley, Secretary of Upper Majuli Khanda Shakti Dilip Bora, leadrers and members of various party & organisations as well as local people.
