Guwahati, December 22: 63 militants belonging to four rebel outfits formally laid down their arms in a ceremony at Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra in Guwahati on Monday. The ceremony was attended by Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and other government officials. Drishti Rajkhowa, the former deputy commander-in-chief of the banned United Liberation Front of Asom (Independent) was also a part of the ceremony. Drishti Rajkhowa surrendered before the security agencies at an undisclosed location in Meghalaya late on November 11.
