CBI Arrests Actor Subhra Kundu

Kolkata, January 16: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday arrested actor Subhra Kundu, wife of Rose Valley Group chairperson Gautam Kundu in connection with the multicrore ponzi scam. According to news agency ANI, the Rose Valley Group, masterminded by their Chairman Gautam Kundu, allegedly collected deposits from common people over Rs 17,500 crore illegally under the false promise of exorbitant return on maturity without complying with the guidelines of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and Security Exchange Board of India (SEBI). According to Hindustan Times, Subhra Kundu was arrested from her apartment in South Kolkata.
