1/ Silver Jubilee Year of Silapathar Town College.
Silapathar Town College celebrates their Silver-Jubilee Year.
Paramananda Chayengiya, Chief Executive Member of the Missing Autonomous Council, who was present as a discussant at the seminar tilted ‘The Need to Discover the Innate Talents for a Successful Life’ organized for the students, exchanged views on the topic of future planning and discovering themselves.
The seminar was moderated by Dr. Shivnath Pegu, founder and retired principal of the college.
The chief executive member of the council was accompanied by Pratap Taye .
2/ ‘The Tai Library’ funded by the Mising Autonomous Council was inaugurated.
The ‘Tai Library’ , built in the premises of the headquarters of the Purvanchal Tai Sahitya Sabha of Dhemaji was inaugurated by Paramananda Chayengiya, chief executive member of the Mising Autonomous Council.
Founder of the Tai Sahitya Sabha, researcher, writer Manchao Dr. Pushpa Gogoi, TMPK Vice-President Tuniram Panging, Mulung Manchao Naba Gogoi, District President Manchao Loknath Gogoi, eminent playwrighter Manchao Bolin Burhagohain, General Secretary of Dhemaji Zilla Shakti Madhav Doley, Tai Ahom Yuva Parishad President Manchao Pawan Handique, Lakshya Konwar and locals were present at the inauguration ceremony.
3/ The 39th ‘Language Day’ was celebrated at the initiative of Mising Agam Kebang.
The 39th ‘Language Day’ was celebrated for two days on the premises of Miri Jiori Girls’ College in Ghunasuti of Lakhimpur district under the initiative of Missing Agam Kebang.
Education Minister Dr. Ronoj Pegu unveiled the statue of Agam Migang Taburam Taid, built with the funds of the Government of Assam.
Agam Migang Taburam Tide, eminent linguist, founder president of Mising Agam Kebang, has made invaluable contributions towards the conservation, promotion and development of the Mising language.
Minister Dr. Ranoj Pegu, also laid the foundation stone for the construction of the new building of the college.

Mising Autonomous Council celebrates ‘Ekta Divas’.
The Mising Autonomous Council recently wrapped up a successful Two Day Celebration of Ekta Divas with a powerful message of unity.
On October 30, the Mising Autonomous Council celebrated Ekta Divas at their Secretariat Campus with a Roadside Drama on Unity to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who played a key role in uniting India after independence.
Ekta Divas is a day to celebrate the unity and diversity of India, and to reaffirm our commitment to upholding the ideals of democracy and secularism.
The event was attended by the Honourable Chairman MAC, Sri. Sunil Kumar Pegu in presence Executive Member’s Sri. Debaranjan Morang, Sri Prabhat Basumatary, Sri. Malendra Narzary, General Members, Sri Raju Pegu, Labanya Mili, Beauty Pegu, Principal Secretary, MAC Sri Jadav Pegu, ACS, Superintendent,MAC Sri Lakhidhar Doley, Head Assistant, Sri. Bipin Gam and other Staffs of Mising Autonomous Council and General Public of the Region.
On 31st October, the highlight of the event was a “Run For Unity” Half Marathon that took participants from the Council’s Secretariat campus to Abutani Lotta Silimpur.
Hundreds of enthusiastic runners, young and old, joined in to show their solidarity for a more united and harmonious community.
The event not only promoted physical fitness but also underlined the importance of togetherness in our diverse society.
5/ Asam Pencak Silat team performs commendablely at the 37th ‘National Games’
The team that represented Assam in the Pencak Silat competition, which was included in the National Games for the first time, has been able to show remarkable results.
Six out of the nine silats representing Assam have won medals.
The silats who won the medals are –

1/ Gold Medal – Lucky Das, Golaghat.

2/ Silver Medal – Jeuti Boro, Udalguri.
3/Bronze Medal- Tilak Kutum, Majuli.
4/ Bronze Medal – Prerna Hazarika, Golaghat.
5/ Bronze Medal – Khem Kumari Pradhan, Dhemaji.
6/ Bronze Medal – Devika Boro, Udalguri respectively.
Khem Kumari Pradhan and Tilak Kutum were felicitated by several organisations of Gogamukh region including Mising Autonomous Council, TMPK, TMMK, MMK, AASU, Gorkha Students’ Union at Gogamukh Abutani Latta.
Chief Executive Member of MAC and Petron of All India Pencak Silat Accociation Parmananda Chayengiya, Senior Executive Member and North East Technical Director Lakshyajit Doley, MAC Executive members Purushottam Doley , Prabhat Basumatary, General members Raju Pegu, Nilakanta Doley, General Secretary of TMPK Central Commitee Sun Pangging, Secretary and president of TMPK Dhemaji and Majuli district commitee and Leaders of AASU and Gorkha Students’ Union, were present at the occasion.
6/ Trailokya Pamegam, general member of the Phuloni Jokaiboa constituency, inaugurated the 4 schemes to be built in No. 31 Phuloni Jakaiboa constituency with the funds of the Mising Autonomous Council, allocated for the year 2023-24.
The program was attended by officials of various organisations as well as local people.

With funds for the year 2023-24 of the Mising Autonomous Council, seven schemes of Ratanpur Miri Gram Panchayat under No. 30 Sanga Majuli constituency were formally inaugurated by Nilakanta Doley, general member of Upper Majuli Council Constituency.
The inaugural function was attended by the officials of Majuli Zilla Shakti, representatives of zilla parishads, gram panchayats as well as leaders of various organisations and the locals.

On 2nd November, the 29th Genral Council and the 60th Cabinet Meeting of the Mising Autonomous Council were held at the Subansiri Eco Camp.
The meeting discussed the schemes implemented in the financial year 23-24 and the new schemes to be implemented with funds for the financial year 2024-’25.
