Jorhat, Decmeber 29: Members of AJYCP on Monday burnt the effigy of Union home minister Amit Shah in protest against the alleged belittling remark made by Shah on the martyrs of Assam agitation during his speech in Guwahati on Saturday. The AJYCP protestors burnt the Union home minister’s effigy at the Garali area in Jorhat. The protesters also slammed the BJP for the Citizenship Amendment Act 2019 which they said was against the interests of indigenous people of the State.
