Guwahati, January 8:  The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee has issued a statement slamming AGP President Atul Bora for his ‘derogatory remarks’ about the Congress party terming it as ‘communal’. In the statement, the APCC underlined that the Congress ideology means communal harmony. “Assam Congress would like to remind Atul Bora that he has shifted to a party that is known world over for its communal agenda. The people of Assam had elected the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) and the AGP to deliver the poll promises. But they have failed miserably to fulfill those promises and to divert the attention from rising unemployment, price rise, corruption they are taking recourse to communal politics which has always been their agenda to create division among people to garner votes,” the APCC stated in a release.
