Doctor gets first shot of Covid-19 vaccine as Chief Minister Sonowal launches drive

Assam, January 16:  Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal launched the first phase of the Covid-19 vaccination drive at Assam Medical College and Hospital in Dibrugarh on Saturday. AMCH principal Dr Sanjeev Kakoti, vice-principal Dr Rupak Kumar Gogoi, superintendent Prasanta Dihingia, AMCH physicians Dr Hem Chandra Kalita, AMCH retired professors Dr Girindra Nath Gogoi, Dr Rama Pd. Medhi and Dr Shantanu Lahkar were among the first 100 health professionals who took the vaccine on Saturday.“Honoured to launch the COVID19 vaccination drive at AMCH, Dibrugarh…,” the Chief Minister tweeted. A total of 12 doctors got their first shot of vaccine at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) in the presence of health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
