Actor Deep Sidhu arrested

India, February 8:

Actor-Activist Deep Sidhu has been accused in Red Fort violence and gets arrested.

He has been accused of fueling chaos and clashes when a tractor rally by farmers protesting the centre’s three agricultural laws went rogue on with protesters forcing their way into the Red Fort on January 26.

36 year old, Deep Sidhu, had been posting videos on Facebook defending himself while the Delhi police’s crime branch hunted for him.

The videos were uploaded by his friend abroad, said the police.

Farmer groups have also accused him of attempting to derail their movement and leading a “conspiracy” against them.

In response to it Sidhu says, “If I’m being labeled a gaddar (traitor), then all farmer leaders are gaddars.

” In one of his videos, he also accused farmer leaders of backtracking on their protests.
