Shillong: The fuel price hike in Shillong has been taking a toll on the commoners, with petrol price now at a record high at Rs 90.24.
Following the hike, the Meghalaya Joint Action Committee of Commercial Vehicles announced an indefinite strike from February 3.
In a memorandum submitted to the deputy chief minister Prestone Tynsong, the Joint Action Committee demanded a reduction in taxes as well as a revision in taxi fares.
